Total Solar Eclipse Of 1 Aug 2008

Solar Eclipse of August 1, 2008 captured the attention of the world. Although the Chinese believes that eclipses represent bad luck, thousands of people gathered across Arctic regions, Siberia and China to see a total eclipse of the sun.

Solar Eclipse of August 1, 2008 is visible from Canada, Norway, Russia, and China. The moon passed directly between Earth and the sun, revealing the breathtaking outer atmosphere of the sun, which is made up of super-heated gases.
